The Transport Manager, a Newbury-based transport consultancy, is enjoying a greater web presence, thanks to its new website.

Paul Jacobs, managing director of The Transport Manager, takes up the story: “Although we developed a basic website when our business was launched 18 months ago, a lack of internet marketing knowledge meant it was ineffective and didn’t perform well. We were looking to boost business through effective marketing and knew a strong internet presence was the key. Having met Karen Chapple of Newbury based Internet marketing specialists Curve Solutions through the Newbury Business Group, I decided to work with Karen to develop our new website.”

Paul continues: “Karen recommended Curve’s WordPress package. She built the new site for us and arranged for its content to be written. Karen also conducted essential keyword research, to improve search engine listings. Within two weeks, our new, improved site was up and running.”

Karen comments: “The Transport Manager’s previous site lacked web presence and had no established brand image. Paul is now working on a branding exercise and continues to work with me on a monthly basis, developing his internet marketing and building on his search engine optimisation. He also intends to take advantage of our Internet Marketing Training Courses, which are offered in additions to the website build package, to increase his understanding of internet marketing.”

Paul concludes: “I am delighted with our new website. It looks more professional, is more informative, and is now tailored towards a specific audience. Although it is still work in progress, I feel the site has a distinctive web presence. Customers are now more aware of our website and many have referred to it in their initial contact with us. I should have done this years ago!”
